A bookshop conversation. A drawing-and-coffee afternoon. A short neighbourhood walk. If you enjoy bringing people together, we would like to hear about the thoughtful, manageable gathering you have in mind.
Begin with one simple idea
Describe what people would do together, who it is suitable for, and why you would enjoy hosting it. A clear hour around one activity is a useful starting point. You do not need an elaborate programme, a large venue, or a claim that your event will transform anyone’s life.
Think through the practicalities
Tell us your city or time zone, the proposed format, a realistic group size, and any venue or cost considerations. Public, accessible locations are preferred for in-person meetings. Online gatherings should have a clear joining process and expectations about recording and privacy.
Make participation comfortable
Explain the activity before people agree to join. Offer a way to pass on questions, set a clear end time, and be prepared to handle unwelcome behaviour. A social host should not present themselves as a therapist or other regulated professional unless appropriately qualified and acting within that role.
Send the outline
Choose “Hosting a gathering” on the contact form and share a brief proposal. We review enquiries before discussing any collaboration. Submitting an idea does not create a partnership, approve an event, or authorise use of the Tangerine Fax name. Any arrangement would be agreed separately.
If you had one table, one hour, and a few curious people, what would you invite them to do?
